Formerly Volunteer Centre Shetland, we are a member of Volunteer Centre Network Scotland and have been operating as a “Jobcentre” for volunteers and for organisations seeking volunteers in Shetland since 2001.  In 2004 we came under the umbrella of Shetland Council of Social Service .

In June 2009 the Shetland Council of Social Service changed its name to Voluntary Action Shetland, and we are now part of VAS (a charity registered in Scotland: SCO17286).
