How to complete your MV forms to get your hands on your certificates:
- First complete the Volunteer Registration form and return it to the Volunteer Centre
- If you are volunteering with more than one organisation fill in the details on the back of the form
- Agree with your supervisor who will be responsible for keeping the Timesheet up to date. This is the
- most important form and it’s easiest to do it as you go along
- When you have reached 50,100 or 200 hours of volunteering let your supervisor know
- Then return your completed Case Study form to the Volunteer Centre. This means that we can
- highlight the great work you have done at the MV event
- You will be invited to the next MV Award event and you will be presented with your Award
- Bring along a friend or family member to join the fun, with music and food after the presentation event
Useful tips:
- You can include hours from your 16th birthday
- Awards must be completed within two years
- Past hours count if you were 16 or over when you were volunteering
- Time spent in training and supervision counts
- Travel time counts, except for travelling off Shetland
- Attending an event / activity put on by others counts as volunteering when you have a role as a trainer/ fundraiser/ coach/ leader, etc.
